Lightning captain Stamkos likely to be free agent

The Tampa Bay Lightning and longtime star center Steven Stamkos, the team's captain since March 2014 who was a part of two Stanley Cup-winning rosters, are unlikely to reach an agreement on a new deal prior to the start of NHL free agency on Monday.
